CCAMDEN VALLEY WAY CHANGED TRAFFIC CONITIONS

ROAD users are advised of changed traffic conditions for site investigation work at the intersection of Camden Valley Way and Beech Road, Casula. 
 
Work will take place for up to four nights between Monday 13 January 2025 and Thursday 23 January 2025, weather permitting. Work hours are between 8pm and 5am.and no work will take place on Friday or Saturday nights.
 
Temporary traffic changes will be in place to make sure the work zone is safe for workers and road users including lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit.
 
Road users are advised to drive and ride to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.

AUDIO UPDATES ON SPEED ADVISOR APP

THE NSW Speed Adviser app now includes audio and visual alerts for over 1,300 level crossings, enhancing road safety, particularly in regional areas. Launched during Rural Road Safety Month, the app warns drivers with “Caution, rail crossing ahead” messages, encouraging vigilance. Between 2014-2024, 64 level crossing collisions caused 8 deaths. Complementing this, a $1.2M Rail Active Crossing Systems trial is underway. The app, downloaded 120,000 times, supports broader efforts to reduce road fatalities.
