Anyone interested in a free barbecue, free football and free registration to join one of the most welcoming sporting clubs in the region, are encouraged to come on down and join the fun.
The GWS GIANTS AFL team will have a presence at the launch, continuing their long affiliation with the Magpies and the South West Sydney region.
“The Magpies are first and foremost a community club, who are proud of our ability to provide a friendly, safe and fun sporting environment for junior girls and boys as well as their families,” said Club Committee Member Rob Cooper.
“It’s amazing how much being part of a sporting community helps young children and their families. We see so many kids come back each year, it’s nice that they always seem to bring a friend along too, to help grow our Club.”
The Magpies field teams for boys and girls aged from five to 17 years. For those who are new to footy, the club provides plenty of support for them and their families.
“Everyone starts somewhere, and down at Ingleburn, we make sure everyone is included. Our program is all about having fun, and being healthy and happy,” said Cooper.
“We are especially proud of how many girls teams we have, we also have female coaches that are there to inspire our youngsters.”
The launch on 23 February is set to have a carnival like atmosphere. There will be a free barbecue provided by NAB and all of the kids that turn up will receive a free football. They will also get to rub shoulders with plenty of AFL stars from the GWS GIANTS.
“Our launch on 23 February is about welcoming everyone. We must thank NAB who will provide a free barbecue on the day,” said Cooper.
“Having a partner like NAB shows how much our footy club is valued within the community.
“We also have NAB supplying barbecue equipment, it really will be a community affair.”
The best thing is, everything is for free. With kids born between 2013 and 2019 receiving a $100 voucher, they can use it to pay their registration fee.
Memorial Oval is located at Memorial Avenue in Ingleburn.
