Just Cuts Macarthur Square recognised among Australia's best

A CAMPBELLTOWN hairdressing salon has capped off a milestone year with national recognition, winning Justice HairCare Salon of the Year Australia at the 2026 Just Cuts Franchise Owners Conference in Queenstown, New Zealand.
The award comes as Just Cuts Campbelltown Macarthur Square celebrates 30 years serving the local community, while salon owner Joanne Ashkar marks a decade at the helm.
For Ashkar, who has spent 27 years with the Just Cuts network, the achievement represents years of dedication, teamwork and strong relationships with customers.
She began her career as a stylist before taking ownership of the Macarthur Square salon in 2016.
“To win a national award in the same year we’re celebrating the Salon’s 30th anniversary and my 10 years as an Owner makes it incredibly special,” Ashkar said.
“This award really belongs to our whole team. They work incredibly hard every day to give our Clients a great experience.”
Ashkar also acknowledged the generations of local families who have supported the business throughout its three decades.
The salon was recognised alongside leading franchise owners, stylists and team leaders from across the Just Cuts network, the Southern Hemisphere's largest hairdressing network.
Just Cuts CEO Andrew Kidd congratulated the Campbelltown team for its outstanding performance and commitment to customer service.
The latest achievement adds to an impressive history of local recognition, including Campbelltown Local Business Awards victories in 2014 and 2020. The salon has also been a finalist every year since.
Beyond its commercial success, the business has established strong community connections through charitable initiatives.
For approximately six years, team members have volunteered with We Are Community Incorporated, providing free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness during the charity's monthly roast dinner service.
