Training now mandatory for strata committees

NSW strata committee members must complete free online training within three months of their appointment, under new rules from the NSW Government. The one-hour NSW Fair Trading course, delivered via Strata Hub, covers committee duties, repairs, finances, meetings, record keeping and dispute resolution. It is the first in a planned series, with more modules from 2027. Acting Fair Trading Minister Paul Scully said the training would give the 1.2 million NSW apartment residents greater confidence in those managing their buildings.
