The event, which is free to attend and will have morning tea catered for, is being held in cooperation between Dr Freelander, Prostate Cancer Australia and Bayer Australia.
It will be held in the Campbelltown Catholic Club’s Quondong Room from 10am till 12pm, on Thursday September 26, 2024, as September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
There will be leading medical professionals, including nurses from Prostate Cancer Australia and a local urologist, amongst others attending to provide meaningful and important information to Macarthur men, with representatives from Macarthur Bulls FC also in attendance.
For Dr Freelander, he cares deeply about the health and wellbeing of residents and so is hosting this event to increase awareness of prostate cancer and how to prevent and treat it.
To attend, RSVP to Dr Freelander’s office either via email, mike.freelander.mp@aph.gov.au, or via phone, 02 4620 0293.
Dr Freelander said: “This event is for all Macarthur men, not just those directly affected by prostate cancer, as I believe it is important that we all come together to benefit from this discussion.
“This is an opportunity to meet with key stakeholders, experts and community representatives to learn more about prostate cancer and how we can prevent and treat it too.
“I encourage everyone to come along, and I also ask that you please share this event with anyone who may also wish to attend."
