TIGERS TO HOST INDIGENOUS GALA DAY
THANKS to a $58,000 grant from the NSW Government, the Camden Tigers Football Club will host an Indigenous Football Gala Day on July 9.
The event will feature men's and women's football matches between the Camden Tigers Indigenous Football Program team and the Native Canadian Indians Football teams in Southwest Sydney.
Member for Camden, Peter Sidgreaves expressed his pride in the growth of the Camden Tigers Indigenous Football Program and welcomed the event.
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Ben Franklin, praised the event for promoting Aboriginal culture and supporting young aspiring Aboriginal footballers to represent their community at an elite level.
Chair of the Australian Indigenous Football Council, Lawrence Gilbert, expressed his excitement in bringing an international event to Southwest Sydney and thanked the NSW Government for their support.

CONNECTING NEPEAN RIVER TO CAMEN

WORK has started to create a continuous riverside recreational network that enhances Camden’s relationship with the Nepean River.
CAMDEN will share in up to $10M in funding to enhance tree canopy and green cover in local parks, streets and neighbourhoods.
